Matias Vecino is set to see a proposed move to Fiorentina permitted for this January, as his EU passport is reportedly confirmed.
La Viola are believed to have agreed a €2.3m deal with Nacional for the 21-year-old attacking midfielder months ago, but had been unable to clear it due to the player’s non-EU status.
However, reports in Florence suggest that the club are close to seeing a European passport granted to the Uruguay Under-21 international and he could complete his transfer to Serie A this January.
