Superdeporte are today running the line that Los Che have virtually concluded negotiations with Napoli over taking the 24-year-old winger initially through to the summer.

The agreement apparently will see Valencia pay part of the player’s wage during that spell and front up €600,000. Marca report that this figure is closer to €1.5m.

It is believed that Vargas will fly out to Valencia this Wednesday and if he can complete the move in time, may be in contention to debut next weekend.

The reports are also that the two clubs will assess the situation in the summer and, should Napoli opt against recalling Vargas to Italy, and not receive a better offer from elsewhere, there is an agreement in principle for the player to commit to Valencia on loan for the 2014-15 campaign.
