Borja Valero’s agent Alejandro Camano believes the four match ban his client has received after being red carded against Parma is too much.

The Fiorentina man was given his marching orders after being involved in a scuffle with opposition player Gianni Munari late in the game last night.

But, while Munari escaped with a one match suspension, a Serie A disciplinary committee ruled that Valero deserved longer for placing his hands on the referee in protest at the decision.

“It really is a lot, maybe too much,” Camano told TuttoMercatoWeb.com.

“I watched the match but I missed the end because of an appointment I had.

“Borja was sad and angry about what had happened and there’s not much else to say.

“We expected two with an absolute maximum of three games out for him, but not four.

“It’s a shame because Borja is important for Fiorentina, who want to get into the Champions League.”
