Gianluca Di Marzio’s website reports that officials from the two clubs are in talks this early afternoon to try to reach agreement on a possible deal.

Initial reports this morning were that Valencia were only interested in a loan deal, just as Inter were only pushing for a permanent sale.

It is understood that a compromise could be reached in the form of an initial loan for the season, with a mandatory purchase option included.

Inter are reported to be valuing Guarin at around the €18m mark.
