According to A Bola, Joao Mario is determined not to miss out on Portugal’s World Cup campaign next summer, which means a January exit from San Siro.

The Corriere dello Sport notes that Valencia would be prepared to sign him straight away on loan with obligation to buy at the end of the season.

This is a similar deal to the one struck over the summer for Geoffrey Kondogbia, who has discovered a whole new lease of life at the Mestalla.

Paris Saint-Germain and even Manchester United are other alternatives for Joao Mario, who cost €40m to prise from Sporting CP two years ago.
