“Staying up is our Scudetto,” Valdifiori told Sky after the match.

“We all know how we started and how people saw us. We’ve worked with humility and achieved something great for the club and the fans.

“[Coach Maurizio] Sarri has given us an identity as a team, every player knows their job on the pitch, and the Coach allows us to play well.

“Now it’s important that we don’t feel content, we must finish as high as possible.

“Will I leave? I don’t know, I’m just thinking about celebrating safety, and ending the season well.”
