The UEFA Executive Committee met today and made no decisions regarding the 12 clubs that broke away to create the Super League last Sunday.

Sky Sport Italia reports the meeting of the Executive Committee was held this morning and, in addition to establish the new venues for Euro 2020 this summer, addressed the possible sanctions against the 12 clubs involved in the Super League.

At the moment, the UEFA has decided to postpone the issue and no sanctions are foreseen in the short term, despite the association’s irritation over the incident. An official decision will have to wait.

The new ECA President Nasser Al-Khelaifi spoke during the meeting, and UEFA President Aleksander Ceferin praised the Paris Saint-Germain patron.

He also gave the FIGC President Gabriele Gravina attention and thanked the Federcalcio chief for the support during these days.

The FIGC President has anticipated that the matter will be brought to the Federal Council scheduled for Monday.

The crisis could represent an opportunity to work for a transformation and help football become a sustainable system.
