Udinese will ‘end up like the Titanic’ and sink into Serie B if results do not improve, owner Giampaolo Pozzo has warned.
A run of eight straight defeats have seen Udinese plummet down to 13th in Serie A, just six points clear of the relegation zone, and Pozzo [pictured, right] demanded the Zebrette ‘wake up’ from their slumber.
“I’m very worried,” he told Udinese TV.

“I’m very worried,” he told Udinese TV.
“We mustn’t be mindless [of our position]. If we haven’t dropped into Serie B yet, it’s not thanks to any talk but rather by battling.
“Our performances aren’t good enough for us to stay in Serie A, so we must intervene immediately.
“We’ll have a week in pre-‘ritiro’. The match against Cagliari will be crucial. There’s no longer any room for talk, we’re in a crisis and an emergency.
“Players like Widmer, Barak and De Paul, they seem distant relatives of the ones we got to know.
“We need to wake up, otherwise we’ll end up like the Titanic.”
