Currently at Cruz Azul, Aquino had already been in negotiations with Udinese before the tournament and this performance has only confirmed their interest in the player.

However, there are reports that Aquino will be bought by Udinese and then immediately loaned out to Granada.

They are the feeder club for the Friulani, as both – and Watford – are owned by the Pozzo family.

It would also give Aquino time to gain EU status.
