Antonio Tikvic has not managed to break into the Udinese first team this season and could be loaned out to Watford this month.

The 19-year-old Croatian defender joined the Friulian outfit from Bayern Munich in the summer in a deal worth around €650,000. He signed a five-year contract but has only made one first team appearance this term, playing the full 120 minutes of a Coppa Italia loss to Cagliari back in November.

Udinese and Watford are both owned by the Pozzo family, who usually prioritise whichever club is in a better position.

Whilst the Italian outfit are languishing in the bottom half of the Serie A table, the Hornets find themselves 10th in the Championship table, looking unlikely to return to the Premier League.

As reported by TuttoUdinese, Udinese are thinking about loaning out Tikvic to Watford in order to allow the teenager to continue his development with more regular playing time.

In the summer, the Hornets sent four players to Udinese, one of loan and three on definitive transfers.
