Hannover took the lead on 57 minutes when Klaus drilled in left-footed from the edge of the penalty area.

However, 60 seconds later it was 1-1, as Perica brought Udinese straight back into the game with a well-taken volley on assist from Ryder Matos.

Late on, young goalkeeper Simone Scuffet was decisive one-on-one with Fullkrug.
