The Rossoneri face rivals Inter tonight in the annual friendly match, which was founded by Milan President Silvio Berlusconi in honour of his father Luigi Berlusconi.

However, Galliani revealed that there are plans to ensure the match doesn’t come in the middle of competitive fixtures in future.

“This is the 24th edition, it’s now a fixed date that we will try to bring back to being in August,” he told Milan Channel.

“I remember the years when the team who won the Trofeo Berlusconi then wouldn’t win the championship.

“I knew Luigi Berlusconi, he was a great person.

“A derby with Inter has been missing for a few years in the Trofeo Berlusconi.

“This is already the fourth time that we’ve met this season, we are trying to export the derby.”
