Spezia are in the middle of several transfers developing this evening, including Ebrima Colley from Atalanta and a swap between Ardian Ismajli and Samuel Mraz with Empoli.

They have been relatively quiet on the transfer market this summer, needing time for new coach Thiago Motta to get to grips with the squad and see what was needed.

The team also had a COVID-19 outbreak that affected pre-season training and further slowed their progress, cancelling several friendly matches.

According to transfer pundit Nicolò Schira, there are three transfers revolving around Spezia this evening that are on the verge of completion.

The most important sees them bring in wide forward Colley from Atalanta, on loan with option to buy.

However, La Dea will also retain a counter-option to bring him back at the end of the season.

The 21-year-old Gambia international spent last season on loan at Hellas Verona, scoring two goals in 25 competitive games.

Another deal is an exchange which sees striker Mraz join Spezia on a permanent basis, with defender Ismajli going to Empoli.
