Transfers, what to expect this week: Weah medical, two inter deals, Vicario to Spurs and more

It is set to be a busy week in the Serie A transfer market with several players close to making moves both to and away from Italy’s top flight. Here’s what to expect in the coming days according to Sky Sport Italia.

Inter are the team with the most activity lined up in the coming days. Marcelo Brozovic is on the verge of joining Al-Nassr in Saudi Arabia in a deal which could fetch the Nerazzurri a fee of around €23m.

The 30-year-old Croatian is expected to sign a three-year contract worth €20m per season in terms of wages. According to reports from multiple outlets, all sides are ready to finalise the transfer in the coming days.

There could, however, be several incomings for Inter this week. Yann Bisseck, whose release clause is set at €7m, is expected to make a move over from Danish side Aarhus to join Simone Inzaghi’s side.

Inter are reportedly willing to pay the €7m fee for the towering centre-back in two equal instalments, 12 months apart.

Inter are also believed to be finalising the last few details of Marcus Thuram’s transfer. The Nerazzurri managed to snatch the France international away from rivals Milan in surprising circumstances and are set to announce his arrival in the not-so-distant future.

The 25-year-old will join on a free transfer after the expiry of his contract with Bundesliga outfit Borussia Moenchengladbach.

Also coming up this week is the expected announcement of Sandro Tonali’s move from Milan to Newcastle, for what will be a club-record sale with a fee upwards of €70m including add-ons.

Juventus also have an important week ahead. The Old Lady are expecting to find out whether Adrien Rabiot intends to stay on with the club or move on in search of a fresh start elsewhere.

On the other side of the spectrum, Timothy Weah is expected to arrive in Turin for a medical ahead of his move from Lille, having reportedly agreed personal terms with Juve at the end of last week.

In terms of transfer announcements, Empoli goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario is expected to complete his medical with Tottenham in the early stages of this week and his move to the Premier League could be officially announced shortly afterwards. He is expected to go for €20m.

Meanwhile, Atalanta are expected to meet with representatives from Hellas Verona over a move for 24-year-old Sweden international Isak Hien.

Roma, too, are expected to stage meetings this week, namely with Sassuolo over potential outgoing deals for teenage pair Cristian Volpato and Filippo Missori.
