Francesco Totti has effectively invited Roma to call him and discuss the possibility of working as a director at his beloved club. ‘It’s not up to me. I think we can sit down and talk.’

The legend was a guest on DAZN this evening for the coverage of Roma’s 3-1 defeat to Atalanta in Serie A, so it gave him the opportunity to talk directly to coach Jose Mourinho and captain Lorenzo Pellegrini.

It was noted he was acting like a Giallorossi director, so why was he not in the role where many believe he ought to be, working at the club?

“It takes two to make a marriage work. I know that’s a banal response, but it’s not up to me,” said Totti.

“I think sitting down, having a coffee and talking about many things could be done.”

This is an open invitation to the Friedkin family, who bought out Roma from previous President Jim Pallotta, and director Tiago Pinto.

Roma are in the process of shaking things up behind the scenes, as last week they fired CEO Pietro Berardi and brought in Lina Souloukou as their new CEO and General Manager.
