Francesco Totti has come out in defence of Daniele De Rossi after the Roma midfielder’s red card. “Everyone has the right to be wrong.”

Roma were leading Genoa 1-0 on Sunday, until De Rossi conceded a penalty for slapping Gianluca Lapadula and was subsequently sent off, resulting in a 1-1 draw between the two sides.

“Everyone has the right to be wrong. Daniele was wrong yesterday, but he’s the first to know that,” tweeted the club legend.
