Tottenham have reportedly made contact with Torino to start exploring a summer move for talented defender Alessandro Buongiorno.

The 24-year-old Italian centre back emerged as a shining talent last season and he’s attracted a lot of attention over the last 12 months, with a long list of clubs keeping a close eye on him including Newcastle United, Milan, Bayern Munich and Atalanta.

Tottenham have a recent history of success when looking to Serie A for reinforcements, picking up players like Destiny Udogie, Guglielmo Vicario, Radu Dragusin and Dejan Kulusevski. As such, Spurs are expected to return to Italy in the summer.

Tottenham talk to Torino

As reported by Francesco Guerrieri of Calciomercato.com, Tottenham have opened talks with Torino to start understanding the margins of a possible deal for Buongiorno in the summer, learning his €35m price tag.

Napoli are also interested in the 24-year-old, having tried to make a move in January with €25m and Leo Ostigard, and are expected to return to compete with Spurs in the summer.
