Torino may be forced into selling Nikola Maksimovic to Napoli at a discounted price if they can't find a buyer abroad.

The Granata have resolved to sell the player to a club outside of Italy, refusing to give Maksimovic the Italian transfer that he is requesting.

This is presumably a punitive measure taken in response to the defender's decision to go on strike and refuse to attend training with the team.

Among the possible buyers there is Chelsea, but the English club is considering other targets, most prominently Napoli's own Kalidou Koulibaly.

According to Il Mattino, if Torino can't find a suitable buyer outside of Italy, then they may be forced to sell Maksimovic to Napoli.

At that point, however, the Vesuviani would have the upper hand on the deal and they may offer a lower amount than their initial €25m bid.

Torino would have to meet their demands or be forced to keep a player whose relationship with the Coach and the team is completely broken.

Napoli are believed to already have an agreement with Maksimovic for a five-year contract, with a salary set at €1.8m per year.
