There were nervous moments during today’s 2-2 draw when Torino defender Glik appeared to lose consciousness when clashing heads with Toni.

The Polish international was stretchered off and reports suggest he is fine after having two stitches.

Toni continued to play on for a few minutes, but went off when feeling dizzy before half-time.

“Toni has nothing serious,” assured director of sport Daniele Prade. “He had all the tests and they came up negative, but he has to stay under observation for 24 hours.”

Aquilani also limped off with a suspected thigh strain, yet another muscular problem for the oft-injured midfielder.

“We will have to evaluate his condition.”
