Lorenzo Tonelli has responded to Giorgio Chiellini’s dig at Napoli, claiming his side intimidated Juventus and that they ‘feel like winners’.
Chiellini claimed Napoli celebrated the Scudetto too early and showed Juventus a lack of respect after the Bianconeri secured their seventh Serie A title in succession over the weekend, but Tonelli was not impressed by his fellow defender’s comments.

Chiellini claimed Napoli celebrated the Scudetto too early and showed Juventus a lack of respect after the Bianconeri secured their seventh Serie A title in succession over the weekend, but Tonelli was not impressed by his fellow defender’s comments.
“When the winner, instead of thinking about their victory, thinks about the people they beat, it means their victory was one of suffering and that over the course of the title race, they also thought they wouldn’t make it!
“Credit goes to us for losing but with the feeling of having won [the title]. Credit goes to those who, like us, believed in it until the last moment.”
