Fikayo Tomori has started to return to the levels shown during Milan’s Scudetto success, shining once again following his decision to reject Paris Saint-Germain in the summer.

The 25-year-old English defender was debatably the best player on the pitch in the Rossoneri’s 1-0 win over Hellas Verona on Saturday, winning nine duels and completing 55 passes as he helped his team bounce back with a win after tough outings against Inter and Newcastle United.

Like many of his Milan teammates, Tomori struggled to show his best the season after their Scudetto success, but now he’s started to show why he deserves to be a regular feature in Gareth Southgate’s England squad once again.

As highlighted by Daniele Longo of Calciomercato.com, at the end of last season PSG approached Tomori’s agents to explore a possible move in the summer transfer window, interested in adding the Englishman to Luis Enrique’s squad.

The 25-year-old made it clear that he had no interest in leaving Milan and rejected their approach, pushing them to turn to Lucas Hernandez.
