Erick Thohir is reportedly selling his 30 per cent of Inter shares to a Hong Kong company for €150m, boosting the Nerazzurri’s prospects.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport after multiple reports of the investment this weekend, the cost of the operation to buy out former club President Thohir is around €150m.

Above all, it’ll allow the Hong Kong-based fund to heavily invest in Inter and share the expense of revitalising the squad.

Inter are about to leave Financial Fair Play parameters set within their Settlement Agreement and that will give them more freedom to buy new players.

Current owners Suning remain adamant any outside investment will only be as minority shareholders, as the Chinese giants intend to resist any attempt at a takeover.

Thohir bought Inter from long-term patron Massimo Moratti in October 2013.
