Wesley Sneijder picked up a muscular problem in the opening minute of the 3-0 Club World Cup victory, so Thiago Motta had to come off the bench straight away.
“On a psychological level it was so important that Dejan Stankovic scored the opener after two minutes, especially as Sneijder hurt himself and I had to come on without a real warm-up,” said the midfielder.

“When 1-0 up, that all becomes easier to deal with. We played a focused game, the one we needed to progress.
“Seongnam worked hard and waited for our mistake to take advantage, but we didn't allow them anything. It was all prepared.”
Diego Milito, Julio Cesar and Cristian Chivu made their returns to the starting XI after injury problems.
“The real strength of Inter is that when we all work together, defending and going on rapid counter-attacks, we can achieve a great deal.
“This is something we have to make the most of, even in the Final,” added Thiago Motta.
On Saturday the Nerazzurri decide the Club World Cup against Mazembe.
