Simone Inzaghi says Inter directors know what he thinks about Marcelo Brozovic, who is negotiating a contract extension with the Serie A giants.
The Croat has been linked with Tottenham and Newcastle as his deal with the Nerazzurri expires at the end of the season.
Inter directors met his entourage earlier this week, beginning negotiations over a contract extension.
“Brozovic is a great footballer and he has given so much to Inter,” Inzaghi said at a pre-match press conference.
“I am lucky enough to have directors as Marotta, Ausilio and Baccin, they are in charge of these things and they know what I think about Brozovic.”
Brozovic admits he wants Inter stay amid Tottenham and Newcastle links
The Croat confirmed that he wants to continue with the Nerazzurri by replying to a direct message from a journalist on Instagram on Thursday night.
The 29-year-old joined Inter in a €5m deal from Dinamo Zagreb in the summer of 2016.
He has scored 26 goals in 258 appearances with the Nerazzurri, winning one Serie A title in 2020-21.
Brozovic is expected to start in the middle of the park tomorrow when the Nerazzurri host Napoli at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza.
Inter have recently extended with Alessandro Bastoni, Nicolò Barella and Lautaro Martinez and want Brozovic to be the next one to put pen to paper on a new deal with the club.
