Cagliari forward Cyril Thereau has allegedly confirmed his involvement in an adult video clip but insisted that ‘it’s an old thing from 4-5 years ago’.
A video went viral of Thereau purportedly recording the lewd act and an audio message has since circulated of the former Fiorentina and Udinese attacker responding to the controversy.
“I don’t know how it’s possible,” the 35-year-old is alleged to have said.

“I don’t know how it’s possible,” the 35-year-old is alleged to have said.
“It’s an old thing from 4-5 years ago when I was at Udinese. I’d deleted everything, I don’t have it on my phone anymore…
“I kept it for no more than two weeks. I don’t even remember this thing. I don’t know where it came from, maybe iCloud, I have no idea.
“Now it’s too late, a mess. Only this is being talked about.”
Ex-Fiorentina teammate Alban Lafont has already denied taking part in the clip.
“It’s not me in the video, it was taken four years old, when Cyril was at Udinese,” the goalkeeper wrote in an Instagram message.
