The Duck found the net for the first time this season, having spent almost a year on and off the treatment table, but earned Milan’s 1-1 in the Champions League tonight with a header.

“Is it a weight off my shoulders? No. I am relaxed and just need to play. I am coming back and want to help my teammates, always doing my best and playing for the team,” he told Sky Sport Italia.

“We need the fans to be close to us, as coming to the stadium and hearing their roar gives you an extra gear.

“At times we might not be doing so well, but we still need the fans. Tonight the supporters were great and stayed with us to the end.

“I think we are growing and have found a good tactical system where we attack consistently. We’re playing fairly well and now just need a victory.

“I dedicate the goal to those who are close to me.”
