Milan met with Carlos Tevez’s agent on Monday night and will do so again on Tuesday as talks regarding a possible January move continue.

The Rossoneri are interested in signing the Argentine international after his relationship with Manchester City broke down.

Milan may be without Antonio Cassano for the rest of the season, following his heart surgery, and Tevez is wanted as cover.

Rossoneri Vice-President Adriano Galliani dined with the player’s agent Kia Joorabchian in the city’s Giannino restaurant last night.

“Tevez is training and wants to return to being a protagonist with a great club in January,” stated Joorabchian.

“Milan are a great club, even if there are other Italian sides who have asked me for information about him as well.”

Netting Tevez is not problem free though for the reigning Italian champions – both in terms of doing a deal with City and the player himself.

Speculation suggests that Milan are willing to hand the Manchester club €2m for his six-month loan, then pay a further €15m in the summer to sign him outright.

In terms of salary, there are claims that Milan could offer the forward €3m net from January until May, before proposing a €5m a season agreement.
