Carlos Tevez doesn’t believe Gonzalo Higuain’s star has waned as Juventus face Napoli in the Super Cup on Monday.

It kicks off in Doha on December 22 at 17.30 GMT and sees the Scudetto winners take on the Coppa Italia holders.

“The Super Cup is an important trophy,” assured Tevez in a Press conference in Qatar.

“This is my first time in Doha and for a South American in particular it’s remarkable to see the sheer size of the buildings.

“The Super Cup is an important trophy,” assured Tevez in a Press conference in Qatar.

“This is my first time in Doha and for a South American in particular it’s remarkable to see the sheer size of the buildings.

“At this stage of the season there is some fatigue, but we need to put in a great performance if we are to win.

“You also need good luck to score, as against Cagliari I only got it in the net because the ball fell at my feet.

“I have already scored 10 in Serie A this season, but I can always do better and never rest on my laurels. The Capocannoniere title is an objective for me.”

The same can be said for Napoli hitman Higuain, who has struggled to find the net recently.

“After the World Cup it was only natural that Higuain would feel a little tired, but El Pipita is always dangerous,” warned Tevez.
