Milan have taken a step closer to signing Carlos Tevez from Manchester City, reports in Italy are suggesting.
Officials from both clubs met on Thursday to try and strike a deal for the New Year switch of the Argentine.
The Italian club have already agreed personal terms with the forward, but satisfying the English outfit is proving problematic.

Although there is still no agreement, progress may have been made as confirmed by Milan official Ariedo Braida. “The meeting went well,” he is quoted as saying.
“We’ll remain in contact. I’m not a wizard though so I don’t know how things will end up. Nevertheless, everything is good, everything is normal…”
Milan’s initial bid was to ask for Tevez’s free loan with an option to buy for €23m at the end of the campaign.
Their stance is said to have altered slightly by offering €3m for the player’s services over the next six months, with a buy out set at €20m.
The Manchester outfit, however, are keener on having an obligatory buy-out clause inserted into any agreement.
A new meeting between the two sides is expected to now take place after Christmas but before January 1, 2012.
