The two teams faced off in the Coppa Italia Round of 16 at San Siro on Wednesday night, beaten 2-1 only after extra time.
“We need a performance at the height of our potential,” said the Coach ahead of the home match.
“The important thing is that Novara do attack Milan and are always ready to go on the counter. We mustn’t get pegged back.
“The Rossoneri have such technique that we must be wary not to allow them too much possession, or we won’t be able to get the ball.”
Novara are propping up the Serie A table and have an injury crisis that has ruled out Carlalberto Ludi, Andrea Lisuzzo and Ivan Radovanovic, plus the suspended Massimo Paci and Paolo Hernan Dellafiore.
“Either Simone Pesce or Daniel Jensen will replace Radovanovic, while in attack we’ll field Giuseppe Mascara and Andrea Caracciolo.”
