FIGC President Carlo Tavecchio insists there’s “no problem” with Juventus after they decided not to release Leonardo Bonucci for Italy duty.

The central-defender is suspended for the Coppa Italia final tomorrow, so was named in Antonio Conte’s Italy training camp squad.

However, as the get-together is not an official FIFA international break, the Bianconeri were under no obligation to release him, and decided to keep him in Turin.

“FIFA and UEFA have given clear directions,” Tavecchio shrugged in an interview with Tuttomercatoweb.

“Those are the rules and we’re all happy. Conte asked to use Bonucci, Juventus for their own reasons, but without going against any rules, held onto him.

“There’s no problem.”
