FIGC President Carlo Tavecchio says “there’s nothing new” in terms of appointing a new Italy CT.

Antonio Conte will step down after the European Championships to join Chelsea, meaning there will be a vacancy, but no new Azzurri Coach has yet been found.

“No, there’s nothing new,” Tavecchio told SportMediaset.

“Francesco Totti for Italy? That’s Conte’s choice, it’s not down to the President of the Federation. It would be an invasion [for me to offer an opinion].”

Bologna Coach Roberto Donadoni and Albania’s Gianni De Biasi have been linked with the post, while Fabio Cannavaro has also thrown his hat into the ring.
