Carlo Tavecchio admits that the FIGC are working towards finding Italy’s next Coach, but that reports of talks with Antonio Conte are not accurate.

Following the 71-year-old’s election as the President of the Italian Football Federation, attention has immediately turned to the pressing nature of finding Cesare Prandelli’s successor with the Azzurri.

Arriving at FIGC headquarters today amid reports of already opening negotiations with former Juventus Coach Conte, Tavecchio was brief in his response.

“We are working on the selection of the new Commissario Tecnico,” the new President has told reporters.

“We have initiatives underway, I cannot say any more.
