Lazio director Igli Tare admits the Biancocelesti have ‘communication problems’ but insists the last January transfer window ‘was one of the best ever, at least in terms of sales.’

Lazio fans protested after Tare only brought to the Stadio Olimpico Jovane Cabral on the deadline day. However, Vedat Muriqi, Denis Vavro, Gonzalo Escalante and Jony were loaned out in January.

“I’ve been here for 15 years experiencing many protests,” the former striker told DAZN before Fiorentina-Lazio.

“We have a communication problem, but no problems in terms of assessments. I am proud to have made a great job during the last transfer window, which was one of the best ever in terms of sales.

“I’ve always tried to be honest with fans, I never said a lie. I think this is important. The coach knew we could only sign one player at the end of the deadline day. We managed to sign an offensive footballer, which was needed after Muriqi’s exit.

“We could have done more, but we can always improve. What’s important is to work for the club’s good and that’s what we’ve done.”
