Adel Taarabt tried to “put on a show” for Milan fans with his first San Siro goal and is grateful to the Rossoneri.
He arrived on loan from QPR in January, but has been a surprisingly impressive presence in Serie A with four goals, though until Saturday’s 3-0 win over Livorno they were all away from home.
“I’m really happy to have scored my first goal at San Siro. I was waiting a long time for it, but the main thing is the three points for the team,” the Morocco international told Milan Channel.
“We had a good time with Robinho and Mario Balotelli. We linked up well and we put on a show. I tried to please the crowd! I have fun on the pitch and I try to put on a show for the fans.
“No one had heard of me in Italy before I came to the club, so I have to thank the CEO Adriano Galliani. When he brought me to the club he said ‘now show them who you are’ and I’m trying to do this.
“My friends have already started to ask me about the Milan Derby, but we’ve got Roma before that. I’m expecting a lot from the Inter match. Many people have spoken to me about it.”
