Wojciech Szczesny admits the gap between Roma and Juventus “will be difficult to recover”.
The Bianconeri beat their closest challengers 1-0 in Turin on Saturday night, extending their lead at the top of Serie A to seven points.
“Between ourselves and Juventus there’s a difference in quality, but also mentality,” Szczesny explained to Globoesporte.
“On the pitch we have to be men, not boys. We only played well after their goal, and now the gap in points will be difficult to recover.

“I made some good saves, it’s true, but the most important thing is I didn’t win.”
Szczesny also spoke to the Brazilian outlet about Alisson, the Brazilian who is challenging him for a starting spot.
“I think he’s doing well with us. He’s a great goalkeeper with great potential, as I’ve seen in training.
“He’s a starter for the national team, and I think he’ll have a great future at Roma. I think he’s ready for a starting spot, he just has to be patient and continue to work.
“He’ll be the starter one day.”
