Milan’s club doctor says Suso “will be available for Sunday” against Torino, and Alessio Romagnoli will be back “soon”.

Suso was forced off injured in the win over Napoli on Saturday night, and is likely to miss the Europa League clash with Austria Vienna, but he should return to face the Granata.

“He’s recovering, I’d say quickly, from that bruising to the gluteus,” Gianluca Melegati explained to Milan TV.

“Today, as a precaution, he didn’t join the rest of the team but I think he will be available for Sunday.

“Alessio [Romagnoli] is in bed with some irritating flu-like symptoms and some fever. Knowing him though he’ll be available soon.

“Ignazio [Abate] stopped training because of a pain in his achilles tendon, so he left training immediately as a precaution, so he could get treatment.

“Davide [Calabria] has started running, he’s working with the ball. The sensations are good, but it’s too early to give recovery times.

“It’s a delicate problem because it affects his left ankle, so that causes us to be very cautious since we want a complete recovery, given the previous year.

“As for Andrea Conti, he’s recovering with the highs and lows which occur after an injury like this [a ruptured cruciate ligament]. He’s respecting the recovery times, we’re very happy.”

The doctor was also asked why Ricardo Rodriguez missed the trip to Naples.

“He had some flu-like symptoms which kept him off the pitch and I recommended against using him at Napoli.”
