Cagliari have announced that defender Ragnar Klavan underwent keyhole surgery on his Achilles heel this morning.
The former Liverpool man had the operation to resolve a recurring tendonitis in his left Achilles heel.
This is the debut Serie A season for the 33-year-old Estonia international and so far he has made 10 appearances.
It is not yet clear how long it’ll be until he makes a full recovery.
Klavan’s most recent match for Cagliari was a 3-1 defeat to Lazio on December 22.
