Representatives of the Suning Group have arrived to discuss investment in Inter, but Massimo Moratti won’t be President.

As reported this morning, the delegation have arrived to complete a deal to take up to 20 per cent of the club’s shares from Erick Thohir.

With former President Massimo Moratti holding 29.5 per cent of the Nerazzurri’s shares, it was rumoured he could return as patron, but this has been denied.

As reported this morning, the delegation have arrived to complete a deal to take up to 20 per cent of the club’s shares from Erick Thohir.

With former President Massimo Moratti holding 29.5 per cent of the Nerazzurri’s shares, it was rumoured he could return as patron, but this has been denied.

“Nothing like that is planned,” Moratti told Saras.

“The current majority shareholder is moving to bring in new investors, there’s no need to construct something else.

“Thohir makes moves for the benefit of the club.

“Selling my shares? We haven’t talked about it.”

The Suning Group will visit the training ground at Appiano Gentile and talk with the entire Inter hierachy, including vice-President Javier Zanetti.
