Juventus are eager to sell in order to whittle down their squad following the arrival of Carlos Tevez and Fernando Llorente.

Sunderland already have a good rapport with the Turin giants after buying Emanuele Giaccherini earlier this summer.

However, it’s reported Sunderland are trying to negotiate a loan with option to buy, whereas Juve want to sell Quagliarella outright for £7m.
