He would effectively replace Suarez as the Catalans’ No 9, but the incumbent reiterated he would have no problems if the 22-year-old arrived.
“He’s a truly great player. He’s been playing at a very high level for Inter,” he told Sport.
“It’s not easy to move to Italy from Argentina and show everything he has in a league as difficult as the Italian one.
“He’s young and we’ll try to help him if he comes to Barca, to adapt and make him feel comfortable.”
