Juventus midfielder Stefano Sturaro insists a draw at Borussia Monchengladbach was “a good point.”

The Bianconeri fell behind to the German side, but got back into the game, and appeared to be in the ascendancy until Hernanes was sent-off.

“Considering how we started, in the end we brought home a good point,” Sturaro told Sky.

“Borussia are a technical team who play well, and it wasn’t easy to get the equaliser. We did well to stick together in the difficult periods.

“Borussia are a technical team who play well, and it wasn’t easy to get the equaliser. We did well to stick together in the difficult periods.

“We have to continue to grow, in terms of playing together and knowing each other better.

“Every game offers different situations, which maybe as a group we haven’t been able to overcome. Also, as the Coach [Max Allegri] says, we have to improve technically, and everyone must give more.

“Of course, everyone is a professional, always on point and ready to be fight for the cause, that’s why we always train at the maximum.”

The former Genoa man was then asked about Sunday’s match, which will see the Old Lady take on Empoli.

“Empoli will present the same issues as Borussia in some ways. We have to be united, and not allow them to have space or hit balls forward, it’s very important that we bring home a win.

“As for what happens next, we’ll see, now we just have think about winning one game after the other.”

Finally, the Italian Under-21 international paid tribute to Stephan Lichtsteiner, who celebrated his return after heart surgery with a goal last night.

“Stephan is a great professional,” Sturaro said.

“He always trains with great character, determination and will-to-win. His game yesterday speaks for itself.”
