Kevin Strootman insists “Roma must always fight for the Scudetto” but admits Juventus have “a great squad”.
The Giallorossi have arguably been the biggest challenger to the Turin side, finishing second for two seasons in a row and then third last term.
However, the Bianconeri have still taken the last five Scudetti and have added Miralem Pjanic and Medhi Benatia this summer, both former Roma players.
“Pjanic? Who is that?” Strootman joked in a Press conference at Pinzolo.

“Juve have won the League five times in a row, but we have to concentrate on our matches. We only play two games against Juventus and we have to do well.
"They have a great squad but Roma must always fight for the Scudetto.
"Would I move to Juventus? Not me."
Strootman has been through injury hell in the past two seasons, and it has been suggested he could be like a new signing to replace Pjanic.
“I’ve played five matches in the past two years, I haven’t been able to help the team but they’ve still done well.
“I don’t want to talk about leaders or anything, I just want to play and stay at 100 per cent. I have to play a lot more games to be considered important.
“I feel good, but I have to get back in shape by playing. The doctors did a great job with my knee. My role isn’t important, if the Coach puts my in attack or defence I’ll be playing.
“A renewal? My lawyer is speaking with Roma, but not to extend the contract right away. We have a good relationship, Roma have always supported me and now I want to focus on them.
“There are still two years on the contract.”
