Reports in France claim that Salernitana are close to agreeing a deal for Strasbourg defender Gerzino Nyamsi.
According to RMC Sport reporter Fabrice Hawkins, negotiations are at a very advanced stage and everyone is confident the move will get over the line.
It is going to be a loan deal until the end of the season with an option to make it permanent.
The Frenchman had also been linked with Lokomotiv Moscow, but preferred to join a Serie A club instead.
Nyamsi is currently out of action with a muscular problem, so a medical is required before putting pen to paper.
He just turned 27 this week and made the move from Stade Rennais to Strasbourg in the summer of 2021 for €1.5m.
