Atalanta defender Guglielmo Stendardo says ‘it will be tough’ against Milan on Saturday and is ‘sorry’ for the defeat to Bologna.

La Dea were beaten 3-0 by the Rossoblu last weekend in Roberto Donadoni’s first game in charge, but have started the season strongly and sit in eighth place.

They face the Rossoneri on Saturday and Sinisa Mihajlovic's side are coming off the back of three wins in a row.

“I’m sorry for the defeat in the last round,” Stendardo said to SportOrobico.

“I’m sorry for the defeat in the last round,” Stendardo said to SportOrobico.

“I think it was as unpredictable as it was undeserved. We played a good first half, but once again we have made mistakes with our consistency.

“The match against Milan? It will be tough because the Rossoneri are in great form but we want to show that we can have our say, even on the road.

“The absence of Bonaventura will definitely be an advantage.

"Wearing this shirt is a responsibility but also a privilege. The fans let us feel their support in an incredible manner.”
