“I won’t give you the line-up or the system,” smiled the Coach in a cagey Press conference.

“I haven’t even told the players and will only do so in our morning meeting before the game. I can say that Daniele Verde is out with flu, while Adriano Russo, Samuele Longo and Raman Chibsah are still injured.

“It is a very important game for a number of reasons. We have to recover the points we dropped against Chievo last Sunday.

“We are third from bottom, but we are in the slipstream of the teams above us. We cannot make a mistake because of our position in the table, but above all for our confidence.

“There are four games to go before the midway point of the season and on paper this is the easiest of the bunch. That doesn’t mean it won’t be possible to get a result against Milan, Sassuolo and Napoli.”

The Rosanero have picked up just one point since Davide Ballardini and there are reports the Coach will be sacked if he doesn’t win today, recalling Beppe Iachini.

President Maurizio Zamparini already froze out three players who he claims were actively trying to get Ballardini dismissed.

“Palermo are not going through a good period of form and there isn’t much harmony at the club either. We have to see if the tension makes them hold back or give extra on the field,” added Stellone.

“The important thing is our attitude. We cannot be sluggish, or Palermo will get invigorated by that. We have to win the individual duels and it’ll certainly become tougher for them to play.”

Leonardo Blanchard returns to the side after his one-match ban.
