The midfielder is among those recovering from injury setbacks ahead of the Club World Cup and the mood is improving.

“It must be the first time in 100 days since we've been able to all train together,” he told Inter Channel.

“We completed two training sessions with 22 players on the field. When we actually get to train, we really can improve. The intensity, effort and concentration all step up considerably.”

The Club World Cup begins for the Nerazzurri on December 15 with the semi-final against South Korean side Seongnam.

“We watched their game,” said Stankovic of the 4-1 victory over Al-Wahda.

“They are a good side, organised and deserve respect, as they got past many obstacles to reach this point.

“We have also had a long journey to Abu Dhabi and we want to carry on along that path until we reach the finish line, to make this 2010 an even better memory for us all.”
