Tottenham have become the latest English club to be paired with a move for Inter stopper Cristian Chivu.
The Romanian is likely to leave the Italian outfit at some stage over the next seven months given that his contract expires in June 2012.
The Nerazzurri are unlikely to offer him a renewal which means he could be available for a nominal fee in January or on a Bosman free at the end of the season.
Real Madrid, Liverpool and Manchester City have all been paired with the international, but now Spurs are said to be interested too.
Chivu, 31, has been mainly used as a left-back by Inter since his move from Roma in 2007. He prefers a centre-back role.
