Spezia have officially been given the all-clear to return to the Stadio Alberto Picco for the rest of the 2020-21 Serie A season.

The newly-promoted club are in their first ever top flight campaign and have so far been using the Orogel Stadium in Cesena.

Restructuring work on the Stadio Picco has been completed to bring it up to code for Serie A football, although there is much still to be done, with more plans drawn up for the future.

Meanwhile, the local council inspected the arena and confirmed today that the Stadio Picco can be used for Serie A games from now until the end of the 2020-21 season.

The first ever Serie A match played at the Picco will be Spezia-Bologna on Wednesday December 16.
