Spezia announced that two of their players have tested positive for COVID-19.
The identity of the players has not been confirmed, but they have immediately been placed into self-isolation.
They are said to be in good condition and asymptomatic.
Both individuals are fully-vaccinated.
As per the current protocol, the other players in the matchday squad will continue to be tested and enter a 10-day period of self-surveillance in case of symptoms.
Spezia are due to play Torino in Serie A on Saturday afternoon.
The Liguria side were beaten 3-1 at home by Inter on Friday.
